Shopping in Udaipur

Udaipur has masses of little shops selling a jumble of things, from cloth lanterns to traditional antique jewellery. Th is known for its local crafts, particularly miniature paintings in the Rajput-Mughal style: there's a clusters of shops along Lake Palace Road around the Jagdish Temple. Leather-bound books and handmade paper are other popular buys. Be prepared to bargain hard, as most places have ridiculously inflated prices for tourists. Interesting less tourist-focused bazaars spread out from the clock tower.
